More than 500 volunteers joined Little Tokyo Sparkle for a community cleanup in Los Angeles, helping remove graffiti and restore public spaces in the heart of Little Tokyo.
Bare Brick, Stone & Masonry Graffiti Remover and the EcoBlaster Pressure Washer were used to clean a heavily tagged wall that had become an eyesore in the center of the neighborhood.
Hundreds of smaller tags were also wiped away by volunteers using Graffiti Safewipes.
Just when it looked like the Little Tokyo community had made huge progress, vandals struck again during the recent protests.
Fortunately, the Little Tokyo Sparkle team did not skip a beat. They rallied the community for another major cleanup, with volunteers returning to remove graffiti and help restore the neighborhood. Mayor Karen Bass was also there to support the effort.
These resources can help cities, nonprofits, property managers, and volunteer groups plan safer and more effective graffiti removal projects.
For volunteer-led graffiti removal projects, we recommend starting with products designed for common surfaces and smaller tags, including removers, graffiti wipes, and safety equipment: See World's Best Citizen's Kit.
