A primary objective of the project was protecting Los Angeles City Hall's historic granite surfaces without altering their appearance. According to Project Supervisor Gina Villalobos, the protection system successfully blended into the existing architecture while covering walls, columns, courtyards, and floor surfaces throughout the project area.
